Is it attractive or a red flag?

Early in the reading, the narrator mentioned that he followed his relationship coach's advice, "broke into a circle of guys" that surrounded the woman he liked, took her hand, and said, "Come with me now." 

How would you feel if someone you just met approached you in this way?
